Earlier this spring, Katie Gassensmith applied to a Fulbright Hay Group Project Abroad to Ecuador. She was accepted and will now be traveling with 13 others to Quito, Otovalo, Coca, and Cuenca, Ecuador. The purpose of this trip will be to collect curricular materials for Howard-Ellis and Eastside Elementary students. She plans on teaching units on the music of Ecuador and sharing her materials with Senorita Bearss. She departs from Detroit, MI on July 6th and returns on August 3rd. Follow her travels on this blog!
